Gaining a first ‘paid’ job is often a big moment for young people as they approach transition to adulthood. Most of us can remember having our first job, and very often this was during school years. Today over 60% of secondary students have an after school job. Yet many students with disability miss out on this opportunity.
We embarked on a project to support students with disability to have that first job using a collaborative approach. Over 80 students participated in after school work and we evaluated the learnings and created a guide.
